I chose to post this photograph to show you that you can have fun while taking studio portraits and that it isn’t always boring. Just as long as you have your friends there, you can always make anything fun. You can have them do any type of pose from something serious, to something fun, like shown above. All I did for this photo portrait pose was telling them to do a pose of their choosing, and came up with this. I had my right light on 1/4 my center light on 1/2 and the gel on high facing the black background. I had to bring my subject up really close to me so the gel didn’t make her turn blue. We took a huge variety of shots, but we like this one the most. My subject wasn’t ready when I took it so it is very natural, and the emotions behind it are real.
